Responsibilities

The intern will work with marine education faculty to supervise and lead summer camp activities for small teams of participants at the UGA Marine Education Center and Aquarium near Savannah, Georgia
Assist in instruction and implementation of Summer Marine Science Camp
Utilize skills and knowledge gathered during undergraduate studies
Work in an environment conducive to learning and professional growth

Qualification

Working with childrenFirst Aid certificationCPR certificationTeamworkCommunication skillsLeadership skills

Required

Previous experience working with children ages 6-14, preferably in a camp situation
Excellent team working, communication, and leadership skills
At least 18 years of age
Currently enrolled in accredited college/university
Completion of internship application and standard background check
United States citizen or possess a valid U.S. work visa
Physical ability to work outdoors in ambient conditions and lift objects up to 50 lbs
Driving as needed for job duties

Preferred

First Aid and CPR certification
