Senior PR Strategist (NYC)
DripComm is a creative, integrated marketing & PR agency based in NYC, seeking a Senior PR Strategist to serve as the day-to-day Account Lead for select client accounts. This role involves overseeing execution, managing communication, and ensuring all workstreams move forward smoothly while building strong client relationships and delivering strategic media campaigns.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for assigned clients
Own client inbox, Slack communication, agendas, notes, and follow-ups
Lead regular client calls and status updates
Build strong client relationships rooted in trust, clarity, and follow-through
Escalate strategic questions, risks, or opportunities to senior leadership as needed
Maintain full visibility into all account workstreams, timelines, and deliverables
Ensure execution is moving forward efficiently and aligned with agreed strategy
Assign and oversee work from Media Relations Managers and Support staff
Hold the team accountable to deadlines, quality, and outcomes
Manage the ongoing 'news engine' for each account
Own campaign narratives, pitch calendars, and execution plans for assigned accounts
Proactively pitch Tier-1 national, business, beauty, lifestyle, and culture outlets
Secure high-quality product placements, features, and cultural moments
Build and maintain strong relationships with editors, writers, producers, and tastemakers
Lead prestige award strategies and submissions
Partner with senior leadership on creative campaign concepts, launches, and stunts
Contribute to new business strategy, decks, and pitches as needed
Bring proactive stunt and creative campaign ideas rooted in culture, media trends, and client objectives
Qualification
Required
6–8+ years of experience in public relations, earned media, or communications
Deep experience in beauty, wellness, lifestyle, or consumer brands
Proven ability to serve as a client-facing account lead
Strong understanding of the modern media landscape (print, digital, broadcast, podcasts, social)
A track record of securing high-quality earned media coverage focusing on long-form features
Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Confidence managing multiple workstreams without heavy oversight
Comfort balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution
Preferred
Familiarity with tools such as MuckRack, Cision, or similar media databases
Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Affiliate platforms (Awin, Skimlinks, etc.) a plus
Project management and reporting tools
