Responsibilities
Develop and execute materials management strategies aligned with production requirements and demand forecasts
Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, purchase materials per specifications, and manage supplier performance
Monitor inventory levels to ensure accuracy and optimize stock, minimizing shortages and excess inventory
Oversee receiving, warehousing, and distribution of raw materials and finished goods
Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and value creation across the supply chain
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and sales to align material availability with schedules and customer demand
Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor a team of materials professionals, including buyers and inventory specialists
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards (including OSHA and 5S), and applicable regulatory requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in materials management, procurement, or supply chain roles, preferably within a manufacturing environment
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with ERP and MRP systems
Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
Proven ability to analyze problems, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions
Hands-on, self-motivated professional with strong initiative and confidence
