Responsibilities
Negotiating and collecting the subrogation or reimbursement interest that arises from a third party’s liability
Providing timely, accurate, and professional service to members, their attorneys, and third parties involved in each case
Monitoring the status of pending cases and communicating case-related information to members, attorneys, insurance providers, and other third parties
Assisting in preparing cases for outside counsel and court
Processing adjustments on subrogation claims
Negotiating Blue Cross’ or the group’s subrogation and reimbursement interests
Using knowledge of the subrogation and reimbursement process, and applicable case and/or statutory law to negotiate on outstanding cases
Peer-reviewed on a weekly basis for quality and accuracy
Qualification
Required
Effective written and oral communication skills
Experience using established problem-solving skills
Established record of independent decision making
Experience applying privacy protocols to sensitive information
Preferred
Knowledge of Blue Cross and Blue Shield claims processing
Experience with legal terminology or subrogation knowledge
Experience in customer service, telephone communication, or similar activities
Experience applying subrogation, reimbursement, or collection principles
Bachelor's Degree
Paralegal certification
