New Grad, Entry LevelFCA is a leader in the automotive industry, and they are seeking a Propulsion System Controls Validation Engineer to join their Qualification Testing: Hybrid, PMBD ICE team. This role involves developing and executing Design Verification Plans for propulsion system requirements testing, critically evaluating requirements, and conducting testing to ensure the delivery of high-quality software for electrified and ICE powertrains.

Responsibilities
Develop and execute Design Verification Plans (DVPs) for propulsion system requirements testing
Critically evaluate requirements, design DVPs, and conduct testing
Determine the appropriate testing environment for each test case (e.g., HIL or vehicle)
Perform issue pre-analysis to identify potential root causes and solutions
Identify critical and edge-case maneuvers to expose potential failures
Conduct testing on propulsion system architectures using Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and vehicles
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
Entry level engineering experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills, comfortable in a multi-cultural matrix organization
Professional communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)
Interest in working on HIL and vehicle platforms, both on-site and remotely as needed
Preferred
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
Experience with HIL and vehicle software validation testing methodologies
Proficiency in network protocols
Strong understanding of propulsion system architectures
Hands-on experience with CANoe, CANalyzer, and INCA tools
Knowledge of hazard analysis criteria and electronics
Experience simulating CAN messages via CAPL
