Mid LevelVirginia's Community College System is seeking Adjunct Faculty for Engineering to effectively plan and teach courses in engineering to students from diverse academic backgrounds. The role involves developing course materials, maintaining records, and adhering to college policies while providing quality instruction in various formats.

Responsibilities
Teach specific classes in the designated discipline
Develop course syllabi and instructional materials
Maintain records, assign grades, and assess student progress
Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations of NOVA and the VCCS
Maintain current competence in the particular discipline or field of specialization
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in the teaching field or a master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours of coursework in the teaching field. Qualifying degrees and coursework must be awarded by and/or completed with a regionally accredited institution
Ability to teach courses in discipline
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent analytical skills
Excellent oral/written communication skills
Must have weekday/daytime/evening/weekend availability to teach
Ability to use instructional technology
Must reside in the (DC, VA, MD) DMV area
Preferred
Prior experience teaching in higher education
Experience teaching in classroom, hybrid, and online formats
Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive working and learning environment
Experience teaching students from diverse language backgrounds and varying levels of proficiency
