Budget Analyst III (Temporary)
N.C. Department of Information Technology is seeking a Budget Analyst III to provide budget support to various divisions within the Department. The role involves monitoring, maintaining, and providing budgeting and financial accountability for all operational budgets, as well as ensuring compliance with budget procedures and policies.

Provide budget support to various divisions within the Department
Monitor, maintain, and provide budgeting and financial accountability for all the operational budgets
Interpret budget procedures and policies while working with program managers to detect any discrepancies or noncompliance and present to budget management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, accounting or related field from an accredited institution
Five years of experience preferably in governmental accounting on budgeting
One year in advanced and responsible analyst or administrative capacity
An equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities related to budget support
Experience in monitoring, maintaining, and providing budgeting and financial accountability
Ability to interpret budget procedures and policies
Experience working with program managers to detect discrepancies or noncompliance
