Responsibilities

On-time execution of New Component Introduction (PPAP) projects
Maintain & upgrade product and process quality at suppliers
Drive & ensure compliance to supplier facing processes (Audits, PPAP, CARs, SDRs, etc)
Understand & use tools rigorously to mitigate risk of non-conformant product from shipping from a supplier's facility
Monitor Defects/DMRs'/Feedback for suppliers to identify any existing problems
Identify & qualify new products & suppliers in the region to drive growth
Collaborate with other functions as required to execute PPAP projects
Develop positive relationships and work closely with other functional areas to manage and implement supplier/engineering changes, New Product Introductions etc

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in a Quality, Sourcing, Manufacturing, or Engineering role)
Minimum of 3 years working as a Supplier Quality Engineer
Able to travel up to 25%

Preferred

Strong understanding of quality tools used to manage supplier quality
Welding/Fabrication experience: Light to heavy steel fabrication including welding. CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification is a bonus
Understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings
Knowledge of ISO, IRIS, or other certifying bodies' standards, quality procedures, tools, and audit techniques
Understanding manufacturing, material flow, process change, and quality processes
Direct experience collaborating with engineering and/or manufacturing operations
Strong problem-solving and data analytics skills
Strong interpersonal, team-work & and leadership skills
Strong spoken and written English communications skills
