Responsibilities

Conduct building enclosure assessments, including evaluations of walls, roofs, windows, waterproofing, and air/vapor barrier systems
Perform forensic investigations to identify causes of building enclosure failures, moisture intrusion, and performance issues
Develop, evaluate, and recommend repair and design solutions for building envelope systems
Prepare technical documentation, including reports, drawings, specifications, and construction recommendations
Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders
Perform construction-phase services, including quality assurance observations and site reviews, to verify compliance with project documents and industry standards
Coordinate with contractors and project team members to address field conditions and technical challenges
Apply relevant building codes, standards, and best practices to all project work

Required

Experience with building enclosure systems, materials, and components, including design, analysis, and construction

Strong technical writing skills, with experience preparing reports, specifications, and recommendations
Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Working knowledge of applicable building codes and industry standards

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) designation is an asset
Familiarity with construction management software and tools is considered an advantage
