Reenrollment Recruitment & Administrative Coordinator

Responsibilities
Manages the administration of the full reenrollment process for undergraduate and graduate students including independent evaluation and processing of reenrollment applications, making residency determinations according to the USM in-state residency tuition policy, and managing communications and inquiries from TU students who have missed one semester or more of enrollment
Works closely with staff in other areas of the Registrar’s Office to apply and uphold TU academic policy and resolve complex academic issues with returning students
Works closely with the Reenrollment Advisor in Academic Advising, Retention & Completion to advocate and support reenrolling students as they navigate challenges in returning to TU after time away
Works in conjunction with staff from Student & University Billing, Student Accountability & Restorative Practices, and International Student Scholar Office as needed to support a variety of student issues as they present themselves through the reenrollment process
Coordinates reenrollment transfer work evaluation/re-evaluation and posting for reenrolling students with support from Transfer Admissions
Conducts regular analysis of reenrollment statistics to share with divisional leadership and to help make decisions for changes to the reenrollment process
Oversee and coordinate recruitment efforts to encourage former TU students to resume their studies and complete their degree
Create and host monthly virtual information sessions for prospective returning TU students
Oversee the semesterly stop out notification campaign to reenrollment prospects with specific tailoring of communication to specific populations such as recent students, near completers, non-traditional students, and students with financial holds
Collaborate with Financial Aid for near completer scholarship/grant offering communication
Work together with University Marketing and the OTS Salesforce team on reenrollment campaigns, website updates, and creation of materials to support the reenrollment process for students, faculty and staff
Communicate regularly with academic departments and administrative offices to provide general knowledge and connection with the reenrollment process and how they can refer students to reenrollment for support
Collaborate with Academic Advising and divisional staff with reenrollment process improvements
Work closely with the Reenrollment Advisor on developing new recruitment and registration efforts along with encouraging students who have completed the reenrollment process to register for the upcoming term
Serve as member of Reenrollment/Near Completer Strategic Enrollment Management workgroup developing and utilizing best practice strategies to strengthen student outcomes
Oversee the Registrar’s Offices role in the administration of the Associate-to-Bachelor’s (ATB) Nursing program and the Freshmen Transition Program (FTP) including collaboration with the external offices, processing of special enrollment, grade & transcript posting and notations, and all other required functions for managing these special populations and their administrative policies
Coordinate the reverse transfer process with Maryland Community Colleges for students who transferred to TU from community college but have not received their associate degree
Communicate with the appropriate Community College offices and representatives as required
Create, update and maintain policy and procedures manuals, keeping up with all changes to policy, procedures, and new initiatives to keep the manuals updated
Participating in quarterly, office-wide software testing in PeopleSoft (Campus Solutions)
Manage special projects and tasks assigned by Associate Director and the Assistant Director
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree and at least one year of professional experience
Superior customer service skills
Technically proficient with Microsoft Office including strong Microsoft Excel skills
Organization and high attention to detail
Comfortable with public speaking and virtual group presentations
