Responsibilities
Spearhead the design of plumbing and fire protection systems for new builds and renovations, incorporating innovative features like eco-friendly wellness integrations
Conduct thorough field surveys and system assessments to optimize performance
Perform complex engineering calculations, sizing, and hydraulic modeling
Produce coordinated drawings and models in Revit and AutoCAD for seamless project delivery
Research and apply evolving codes, standards, and sustainable technologies
Prepare in-depth technical reports and project documentation
Engage in collaborative meetings and drive interdisciplinary coordination
Manage construction administration, including reviews, site visits, and problem-solving
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
5+ years of direct experience in plumbing and fire protection design
Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and hydraulic software (e.g., Elite, HydraCALC, HASS)
Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing/fire protection design, terminology, and MEP integration
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to thrive independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-project setting
Familiarity with national building codes; NYC regulations a plus
