Business Development Manager

Microbiologics is a company that supports the accuracy and reliability of diagnostic testing worldwide. They are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth across the United States in the molecular diagnostics and precision medicine sectors.

Responsibilities

Own new revenue creation across US clinical diagnostics markets
Lead complex, multi-stakeholder business development opportunities from strategy through close
Build executive-level relationships with laboratory, biopharma, and life science customers
Translate scientific and technical capabilities into scalable, commercially viable solutions
Develop and execute US-based business development strategies for molecular diagnostics, genomics, and precision medicine markets
Identify, structure, and close complex opportunities including custom solutions, strategic partnerships, and contract manufacturing engagements
Manage opportunities with long sales cycles and multiple internal and external stakeholders
Build and sustain executive-level relationships with key customers and partners
Develop account-level and market-level growth plans to support long-term revenue expansion
Partner closely with Clinical Sales, Marketing, R&D, Product Management, and Operations to advance opportunities
Lead internal alignment to move opportunities from concept through commercialization
Maintain accurate pipelines, forecasts, and reporting in CRM systems
Provide market intelligence and voice-of-customer insights to inform strategy and investment decisions
Represent Microbiologics with customers, partners, and at industry events
Travel up to 50% within the United States

Required

Bachelor's degree in life sciences (required)
7+ years of progressive experience in business development or strategic sales within life sciences or diagnostics
Demonstrated success closing complex, multi-stakeholder opportunities
Experience working with clinical laboratories, diagnostics companies, or life science organizations
This role is designed for experienced business development professionals and is not intended for entry-level or early-career candidates
