Responsibilities
Gain first-hand sales knowledge working with clients on the different Hornblower Cruises and Events brand experiences in Chicago
Learn the basics of business communication and professional conduct
Develop your communication, organization and time-management skills as well as strengthen your self-confidence
Address all questions and concerns for booked clients
Finalize client bookings by securing final payments and event logistics
Work side by side with Account Managers & Event Coordinator
Work directly with clients on their event details, schedule of events & logistics
Participating in Meet and Greet sessions with the Executive Team Members and various Corporate Directors
Utilize learned “Sales Skills” to explain products or services and prices, and answer questions from guests on every call
Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally
Obtain guest information and accurately enter orders into reservations systems
Deliver prepared sales talks to finalize events
Other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor on duty
Qualification
Required
Must earn an Associates or bachelor's degree in Sales, Public Relations, Communications, Hospitality, Tourism Management or any Business-related field. Candidates earning their bachelor's should preferably be in their sophomore, junior or senior year
Must have a minimum of (1) year guest services experience; call center/ reservation experience a plus
Must have strong interpersonal skills
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills- expression and comprehension skills
Must be reliable, responsible, punctual and dependable
Must be available to work 30-40 hours per week, including required weekend availability: schedule is subject to change weekly according to operational needs
Must possess a service orientation
Required to use computers and computer applications such as Microsoft office
Must be careful about details and thorough in completing tasks
Must deal calmly and effectively with high-stress situations
