Insurance Marketing & Placement Specialist (Commercial Lines)
Confidential is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Marketing & Placement Specialist to support the marketing, underwriting, and placement of commercial insurance accounts. This role involves gathering underwriting information, preparing submission packages, and marketing accounts to multiple carriers to ensure clients receive competitive coverage, pricing, and terms.

Responsibilities
Gather and analyze underwriting information (applications, loss runs, exposures, financials, photos, supplemental forms)
Prepare complete, accurate, and professional submission packages
Market commercial accounts to carriers, MGAs, and wholesalers
Compare coverage options, pricing, and carrier appetites to identify the best solutions
Negotiate pricing, terms, and coverage enhancements with underwriters
Present carrier quotes, comparisons, and recommendations to producers or account managers
Review underwriting requirements and identify missing or incomplete items
Ensure all required forms, supplemental applications, and compliance documents are included
Maintain detailed records of carrier communications, quotes, declinations, and notes
Communicate effectively with underwriters to address questions and clarify exposures
Develop and maintain strong relationships with carrier representatives
Provide consistent updates to producers, account managers, and clients during the marketing process
Confirm binding instructions, subjectivities, and effective dates
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely issuance of policies, endorsements, and certificates
Review issued policies for accuracy and request corrections when needed
Maintain organized and compliant marketing files
Track renewal timelines and begin marketing activities early to ensure competitive outcomes
Assist producers and account managers with complex risks or special projects as needed
Qualification
Required
Experience in commercial P&C insurance marketing, underwriting, or account management
Strong understanding of commercial lines products, carrier appetites, and underwriting standards
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
High attention to detail with strong organizational abilities
Ability to manage multiple accounts, submissions, and deadlines simultaneously
Proficiency with agency management systems and carrier portals
P&C License Required
Preferred
Property & Casualty license (preferred or required depending on agency standards)
Experience with AMS360 and ImageRight preferred
