Splunk Developer
Arbor TekSystems is looking for a Splunk Developer to enhance their observability capabilities. The role involves creating and customizing dashboards, refining operational metrics, and implementing observability pipelines using Splunk and related tools.
Responsibilities
SQL and Splunk queries to filter observability data from splunk and create dashboards
Setup thresholds and tweak existing ones to ensure relevant s are reported
Build OOB dashboards and templates. To group the servers and applications by CIOs, etc, to make sense of data and customized working with Splunk
Focus on operational metrics, thresholds, and insight-based dashboards
Model front-end and back-end data sources to help draw a more comprehensive picture of user flows throughout the system and to enable powerful data analysis
Designing and Implementing Observability Pipelines: Observability engineers create robust pipelines to collect, aggregate, and analyze data from various sources
Data Analytics and Observability: Refine thresholds, understand operational data, relate trace, log metrics, and make sense of the data. Create OOB dashboards and templates for executions. Trying to integrate ITSI to correlate event data for analytics, to group the servers and applications by CIOs, etc. to make sense of the data. Expertise in Splunk queries and customization
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: They create comprehensive documentation for observability systems and processes and share knowledge with other teams
Splunk ITSI (IT Service Intelligence) AIOps experience
Full stack observability with Splunk (preferred) / Datadog, infra monitoring, App onboarding and APM experience
Proficiency in observability tools: They are familiar with tools for logging, metrics, and tracing, such as ELK Stack, Splunk and distributed tracing systems
Familiarity with OOB dashboards and templates creation
Able to integrate ITSI to correlate event data for analytics
Communication skills, especially for explaining technical concepts to nontechnical business leaders
General understanding of distributed systems: They need to understand the complexities of modern architectures, including microservices, cloud-native environments, and hybrid infrastructure
