Training and Development Coordinator

Responsibilities

Deliver a wide range of training and development programs that meet the credit union’s needs, including department and position specific needs. This includes face-to-face and online training options, addressing policies, procedures, products, and services
Ensure effective communication with employees on company policies and practices
Help new hires during the training period and make recommendations to management and/or Human Resources regarding training needs, concerns, and continued employment
Continually monitors and evaluates effectiveness of programs and makes needed adjustments
Work with Director of Operations regarding content delivery methods and scope of priorities for class schedules and needs
Work with Chief Experience Officer to ascertain upcoming promotions to adequately educate staff prior to launching marketing campaigns
Work with Human Resources Director to efficiently assist in onboarding of new associates, explain benefit options, and backup HR admin on an as needed basis
Work with the compliance department to help monitor compliance training on a monthly and quarterly basis, providing delinquency and completion reports quarterly to the DOO
Coordinate with department managers to generate individual personal development plans for employees and to achieve full participation in optional and required training through proper communication channels
Responsible for training coordination to include booking rooms for training, communicating dates and times with managers to ensure proper branch support, coordinating with all departments to maintain/update training room issues
Classroom Management, pre-class preparation, post class debrief; coach and deliver feedback to participants; escalate concerns to Director of Operations, Human Resources, and employee’s direct manager, as warranted
Design training related documents, materials, and presentations including a working TelComm Reference Manual to include updated procedures in a functional format for all departments within the credit union
Review and edit training content for consistency and design and identify improvement opportunities for course and courseware materials through delivery and proofreading of course materials to ensure procedures, exercises and practices work as written and meets credit union standards
Performs other related duties as assigned to support overall organization and employee development initiatives

Required

Ability to work independently
Requires superior communication skills, both written and oral, including excellent presentation skills
Good time management skills and the ability to initiate and embrace change
High School Diploma
1-3 years of financial institution experience
Must be able to hold confidential information in strict confidence and exercise a reasonable degree of care to prevent disclosure to others
Strong decision-making process that is consistent, thoughtful, and informed, with the ability to consider alternate conclusions and actions
Strong member service skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, escalate issues, and remain organized is essential
General mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail with immediate and accurate results
Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
A genuine care in helping others succeed
A radiating positive attitude is a must
