Responsibilities
Move, lift, and position raw materials, molds, cores, castings, sand, and scrap throughout the facility
Assist with mold and core preparation, including packing sand, removing pattern pieces, and preparing molds for pouring
Load and unload castings from furnaces, cleaning stations, and finishing equipment
Perform grinding, deburring, cleaning, and other finishing tasks to prepare castings for further processing
Operate basic foundry equipment such as hand tools, grinders, shot blast machines, and cleaning equipment
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to ensure safe and efficient production flow
Identify and report defects, equipment issues, or safety concerns immediately
Follow all foundry safety practices, PPE requirements, and standard operating procedures
Qualification
Required
Ability to lift up to (insert lbs), stand for long periods, and work in hot, dusty, or noisy environments
Ability to use hand tools and safely handle heavy materials
Strong reliability, teamwork, and willingness to learn new processes
Must be comfortable wearing PPE such as steel-toe boots, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and respirator if needed
Preferred
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Prior experience in manufacturing, foundry, steel, or other heavy-industrial environments is a plus but not required
