Responsibilities
Conducting legal research on current issues relevant to the video game industry
Assist attorneys with legal documents by reviewing, analyzing and otherwise distilling key concepts
Support game development and publishing by evaluating game content, features, and elements and capturing critical information for use by the team and supporting compliance
Help prepare internal legal materials, reference guides, and more for cross-functional teams
Track and organize legal requests, documentation, and important deadlines
Work closely on emerging legal initiatives and other projects
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an accredited law school (JD candidate)
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated growth mindset, curiosity, and willingness to learn new subject matter
Interest in video game law
Impeccable integrity
Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred
Coursework in intellectual property, contracts, entertainment or technology law and related areas is a plus
Prior legal internship, clinic, research assistant, or similar experience is helpful but not required
Demonstrated ability to synthesize legal issues and communicate them clearly in writing (e.g. research projects, memos, document review or quality assurance)
Familiarity with video game console platforms and the video game industry
Knowledge and experience with video games, intellectual property, and gameplay mechanics
Willingness to take a hands-on approach to legal support including documenting potential legal or compliance issues
Interest in global legal operations and media industry
