Senior LevelXata.io is a modern Postgres platform that helps engineering teams ship faster. In this role, you will work closely with engineering teams to build highly scalable services, set up infrastructure and configuration as code, and implement automation tools for code deployment.

Responsibilities
Work closely with the other engineering teams to build services that are highly scalable and observable
Set up infrastructure and configuration as code. We use Kubernetes, and Pulumi for infrastructure as code
Implement automation tools and frameworks for automatic code deployment (CI/CD)
Set up and maintain observability and monitoring stack, as well as our deployment pipelines
Be part of the on-call rotation. The on-call load is shared between the SRE and the backend team
Share your experience at conferences or blog posts if interested
Qualification
Required
Hands-on cloud infrastructure experience on public cloud platforms, preferably AWS
Good understanding of PostgreSQL
Experience with Kubernetes, preferably using Kubernetes operators and running Postgres in Kubernetes
Experience with infrastructure as code
Hands-on experience coding, ideally in Python, Go or Typescript with a focus on clean, maintainable code
Experience with observability tools and incident management
Knowledge of distributed storage systems and their operational considerations, preferably Ceph, OpenEBS, Mayastor, or similar cloud-native storage solutions
Preferred
Deep experience with operating database products at scale
