Responsibilities
Lead materials planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory control operations in a Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing environment
Manage and develop a cross-functional materials team, including training and performance management
Coordinate with manufacturing and customers to support production schedules and JIT demand requirements
Oversee supplier relationships and monitor performance metrics to ensure on-time delivery
Ensure timely procurement of production and service components to support JIT production flow
Maintain accurate inventory levels, cycle counts, and PFEP (Plan for Every Part)
Develop and manage materials systems, reporting, and key operating indicators (KOIs)
Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives across materials operations
Manage packaging, freight, and logistics strategies, including premium freight
Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and union agreements
Qualification
Required
