Regional Business Development Director

Richard Attias & Associates is seeking a Regional Business Development Director for the Americas to enhance its growth and visibility, particularly in the US. Responsibilities

Actively expand RA&A’s presence, influence, and brand equity across the Americas with a focus on the US in the states of New York, Washington DC and Florida as top priorities, positioning the firm as a trusted strategic partner to corporations, governments and leading institutions
Design and implement a regional go-to-market strategy with clear quarterly and annual revenue objectives, supporting diversification across clients, sectors, and platforms
Identify, prioritize, and develop new business opportunities in alignment with the global vision and directives set by the Board and the Global CEO
Conduct in-depth analysis of regional macroeconomic trends, competitive landscapes, and industry dynamics to identify high-potential growth opportunities and set ambitious yet achievable targets
Lead the origination and conversion of high-value opportunities, including flagship forums, summits, and long-term advisory mandates
Collaborate closely with the global and regional Business Development teams to articulate RA&A’s unique selling points and contribute to rigorous win/loss analyses across RFPs and tenders
Drive the development of innovative, high-quality proposals tailored to regional priorities, positioning RA&A as a market leader in strategic events and platforms that generate measurable societal and economic impact
Support revenue sustainability by building recurring business models and long-term partnerships rather than one-off engagements
Serve as a senior advisor to clients, reinforcing RA&A’s role as a trusted counselor to global CEOs
Own the full client relationship lifecycle—from initial engagement and contract negotiation through delivery oversight and post-event follow-up—ensuring a high-touch, personalized client experience at every stage
Lead the conception, positioning, and rollout of forward-thinking conferences, forums, and platforms that unlock new revenue streams and reinforce RA&A’s leadership in the global events and strategic communications ecosystem
Ensure that all platforms reflect RA&A’s standards of excellence, innovation, and long-term value creation, while supporting sustainable growth in the region
Act as a visible representative of RA&A at high-level regional and international events, reinforcing the firm’s thought leadership and institutional credibility
Work in close coordination with internal teams across business development, strategy, production, and communications to ensure alignment and execution excellence
Contribute to the mentoring and development of junior team members, fostering a culture of rigor, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Promote best practices, disciplined execution, and strong internal governance in line with RA&A’s values and operating standards

Required

Proven track record in senior business development roles within the MICE, strategic communications, advisory, or global events industry, with a strong and credible network across the Americas and USA in particular
Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding regional growth targets, expanding into new markets, and securing complex, high-value engagements
Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate market insights into actionable and commercially sound business plans
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the gravitas to represent RA&A at the highest institutional and executive levels
Leadership capability, with experience building, mentoring, and motivating high-performing, multicultural teams
Innovative thinker with the ability to generate new ideas, particularly around revenue diversification and platform creation
Highly client-focused, with a strong ability to build trust-based, long-term relationships
Resilient, agile, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
Demonstrates humility, an unwavering commitment to excellence, and the adaptability required to lead in a dynamic, high-growth context

Preferred

Experience working with governments, public institutions, and senior decision-makers is strongly preferred
