Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of robust, high-performance database solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
Drive engineering best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
Participate in code reviews, design sessions, and performance tuning efforts
Support production systems, including participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation
Qualification
Required
10+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle SQL and PLSQL, including performance tuning, data modeling, and API development
Strong experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica) and batch job schedulers (e.g., Autosys)
Proven ability to design scalable, resilient systems using cloud technologies (Snowflake is a MUST HAVE)
Experience with ATDD, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with Java, messaging systems, and web containers
Experience with distributed replication technologies (e.g., Oracle GoldenGate, EDB Replication)
Strong Linux shell scripting and performance monitoring skills
Experience with Oracle RAC, Exadata, and engineered systems is highly desirable
Bachelors Degree
Preferred
Exposure to other database platforms (Postgres, Snowflake, MS SQL Server, etc.) is a plus
Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Oracle OCI) are a bonus
