Responsibilities
Design a variety of HVAC systems, including chilled water, hot water heating, water-source heat pumps, VAV, DX, snowmelt, and radiant floor systems across facilities such as offices, multi-family, hi-rises, warehouses, industrial, healthcare, retail, religious, educational, and hospitality projects
Conceptualize and design industrial process systems
Produce detailed construction models using Revit and AutoCAD MEP
Mentor and coach junior design team members
Interpret and apply relevant building codes
Perform load calculations using Carrier HAP software
Collaborate effectively with clients, consulting engineers, code officials, and internal teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
Michigan Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
10+ years of relevant industry experience
Experience with Autodesk CAD drafting in the AEC field (training provided for strong candidates to expand skills as needed)
Proficient in Revit MEP
Proficient in AutoCAD MEP
Familiarity with Revit Fabrication
Familiarity with Navisworks Manage
Preferred
Background in mechanical contracting or HVAC construction
Experience with design-build or large-scale commercial construction projects
