Responsibilities
Assist the Project Managers with estimating, change orders, RFI’s, request for quotes, bid reviews, generating takeoff quantities, XBE planning, pre-job plans, etc
Discuss and implement best practices that drive site safety
Motivate and recognize positive safety habits and practices make sure that project is OSHA compliant
Ensure jobs provide a safe environment for others
Manage project engineering and related personnel functions and activities in compliance with company and contract requirements, and in support of overall construction schedule
Provide technical support for construction effort including participation in construction planning and design; interpretation of design; application of construction methods; resolution and documentation of design conflicts; constructability reviews, etc
Develop, implement and administer project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents: submittals, samples, drawings, RFIs, RFPs and all related documents
Assist in drawing review
Maintain as-built drawings
Assist Project Manager and Superintendent to ensure that budgets are met when planning and executing work
Estimate change orders
Tracking progress on job cost budget items and assist with monthly job cost review projections
Maintain job material yield
Prepare, submit and follow up on RFIs
Assist in maintaining the schedule
Directly manage field operations to ensure that plan is properly communicated and executed
Monitor field progress to ensure that project goals are being met or exceeded
Develop action plans to resolve construction related issues incurred in the field
Inform Project Manager and Superintendent on actions
Help facilitate XBE coordination with the office and field. Job setup, monitoring, daily meetings, future XBE onboarding
Externally, maintain good client relationships
Attend job meetings as needed
Internally, help foster an efficient, productive environment by getting to know co-workers
Reward and recognize others for their contributions to the company
Spend time developing and mentoring others
Qualification
Required
Undergraduate degree Civil Engineering or Construction Management required or equivalent experience

Preferred
Bachelor's (Preferred)
Civil Engineering or Construction Management: 4 years (Preferred)
