Responsibilities
Lead customer engagement to develop, analyze, and document complex electrical and electronic system requirements
Translate system requirements into end-to-end architectures, including hardware, software, and interface designs
Provide technical leadership for system integration, verification, and validation to ensure compliance with operational and functional requirements
Oversee and coordinate supplier performance to ensure system compatibility, integration, and standards compliance
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to deployed hardware and software throughout the entire product lifecycle
Support laboratory and system-level testing of hardware and software integrations
Research emerging technologies and assess their potential application to business and product needs
Provide recommendations for future technology investments and system improvements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Engineering Technology), Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Computer Science
Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical or avionics system design, including:
Electrical systems and subsystem design
Interface cable design between electrical systems and platforms
Electrical hardware and software integration
Coordination with vendors for component and part selection
Hardware and software testing in a laboratory environment
Experience or working knowledge of VPX and/or VME form factors
Experience or familiarity with communication standards and interfaces, including RS-422/RS-232, PC104, TCP/IP & Ethernet, IEEE-488, MMSI, and MIL-STD-1553
Technical system domain knowledge (e.g., air vehicles and/or weapons systems)
Experience with product or system development and integration activities
Preferred
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and/or relevant cybersecurity certifications
Experience or familiarity with network design concepts
Experience with military and environmental standards used in hardware design and testing, such as MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-1472
Proficiency with CAD tools and creation of electrical schematics
Experience implementing and maintaining systems engineering tools, schedules, and performance metrics (e.g., DOORS, CAMEO, earned value management)
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
CompTIA Security+ certification
