Akkodis Group Nordics is seeking a Sr Java Developer for a Contract with a client. The role involves designing and delivering scalable, high-performance enterprise systems while optimizing Java services and REST APIs.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize scalable, low‑latency Java services and REST APIs using Java 11+, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, and related frameworks
Build and maintain data access layers across relational databases (Oracle) and NoSQL stores (MongoDB), including schema design, indexing, and performance tuning
Engineer distributed, multi‑tier applications on AWS, leveraging caching, messaging, and resiliency patterns to meet throughput and reliability SLAs
Apply Computer Science fundamentals (DSA) and best practices such as TDD, CI/CD, code reviews, and robust unit/integration testing (JUnit/TestNG)
Use AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., RooCode, Claude) to accelerate delivery while upholding code quality, security standards, and documentation
Troubleshoot complex production issues, conduct root‑cause analysis, and drive continuous improvements in performance, maintainability, and observability

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Minimum 10+ years of enterprise‑level Java development experience, including 5+ years working with MongoDB
Strong hands‑on expertise with Java 8+, Spring ecosystem, REST API development, and distributed system design
Proven ability to work with AWS cloud services and leverage AI development tools such as RooCode and Claude to accelerate high‑quality delivery
