In this role, you will train to underwrite risk for new and renewal commercial business while developing strong relationships with agents and insureds within your assigned territory.

Responsibilities
Train to underwrite risk that determines the selection/rejection of new and renewal commercial business
Gain an understanding of the underwriting thought process and learn to utilize underwriting guidelines, procedures, rating manual rules and insurance laws/regulations
Learn the skills required to develop and maintain strong relationships with agents and insureds within assigned territory
Participate in an extensive training program involving instruction and self-study combined with on-the-job shadowing
Evaluate existing and new accounts and make underwriting recommendations within limited authority on assignments of moderate technical complexity
