Payroll Specialist

Noble INC is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their dynamic team, where the individual will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. This role involves managing payroll for 350 employees across four divisions and ensuring compliance with various payroll regulations.

Responsibilities

Process and manage payroll across four operating divisions containing 350 employees on a weekly basis
Calculate and verify employee hours, wages, and deductions including garnishments, levies, and other wage withholdings
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Stay informed about changes in payroll regulations and best practices
Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies
Document all transactions related to an employee’s wage
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax filings
Generate and distribute employee W-2s and other tax statements
Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management
Coordinate with employees on payroll-related issues and updates
Maintain and update employee payroll records in the system
Manage direct deposit setups and changes for employees
Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and inquiries from employees
Participate in audits by providing necessary payroll information and documentation
Perform system testing as required for software/hardware upgrades, implementations, and integrations

Required

Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing
Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Paylocity, ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms)
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of payroll best practices and compliance requirements

Preferred

Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus, but not required
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred
Experience with multi-state payroll processing is a plus
