Responsibilities
Develop, customize, and configure ServiceNow modules to meet business requirements using best practices in solution architecture and system design
Integrate ServiceNow with other enterprise systems such as Salesforce, Pegasystems, and various IT infrastructure components via RESTful APIs and web services
Design and implement workflows, automation scripts, and UI policies to optimize user experience and operational efficiency
Manage system security by implementing system hardening techniques, vulnerability assessments, and threat intelligence measures
Perform system administration tasks including user management, access controls, and configuration of network security features like VPNs, firewalls, load balancing, and cloud security protocols
Collaborate in Agile development environments utilizing DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or similar tools
Conduct troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning of ServiceNow applications and integrations across operating systems including Windows, Linux, and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure
Maintain documentation of system architecture diagrams, process flows, and technical specifications for ongoing support and future enhancements
Stay current with emerging technologies in microservices architecture, Kubernetes orchestration, virtualization (VMware/ESXi), and system hardening techniques to continuously improve platform stability
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a ServiceNow Developer or Systems Engineer with extensive knowledge of ServiceNow platform customization and development
Strong background in solution architecture involving IT infrastructure components such as DNS, DHCP, VMware virtualization, and cloud services (AWS/Azure)
Proficiency in programming languages including JavaScript, Python, C#, Java, Shell Scripting, PowerShell (GPO), and SQL variants like T-SQL or PL/SQL
Hands-on experience integrating enterprise applications using APIs (RESTful/SOAP), web services, and middleware platforms such as MuleSoft or similar tools
Familiarity with SDLC methodologies including Agile/Scrum frameworks; experience working within DevOps environments utilizing Jenkins or equivalent CI/CD tools
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles including vulnerability management, system hardening techniques, threat intelligence analysis, and information security best practices
Experience working with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle; managing large datasets with NoSQL solutions is a plus
Understanding of operating systems including Windows Server environments and Linux distributions; familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware ESXi is preferred
