Responsibilities
Purchase materials, supplies, and services on the most favorable terms for the organization
Qualify suppliers, monitor and ensure supplier quality and delivery
Evaluate bids, negotiate prices and terms for purchased goods and services
Track purchases and maintain a current database of supplier information
Provide subject matter expertise on complex procurements of significant dollar value
Independently manage multiple service type contracts
Help with the planning of the process for the purchasing function and support programs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in a related field and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
Procurement experience
The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Preferred
Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance
Strong understanding of all aspects of finance and accounting related to procurement
Complete understanding of the full cycle of procurement processes
