Responsibilities

Assess part disposition reports to determine if repair/limit expansion should be pursued or to provide vendor with program’s approval to scrap the part
Support a team dedicated to validating, analyzing, and interpreting large amounts of maintenance data to provide insightful and meaningful conclusions that can be used across the F117/C17 and Tanker Programs
Evaluate engine build standards to achieve time on wing goals, trending, and analyzing shop data to identify adverse hardware durability trends, and recommend changes to the F117 Minimum Build Standard that will improve time on-wing and/or reduce program costs
Analyze Engineering Changes for fleet impacts, including sustainability and maintenance practice changes
Coordinate with other LPM team members and Customer Support Engineering to determine fleet management implementation strategies
Support periodic Customer Program Meetings
Ownership of engine controls, accessories, externals, and mechanical components from an LPM Technical Management team perspective

Qualification

Required

Typically requires: A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
5 years of aviation or propulsion maintenance, or design/project engineering experience, or an advanced degree with 3 years' in aviation or propulsion maintenance, or design/project engineering experience
US Citizenship is required based on government contracts

Preferred

Ability to obtain secret clearance
Previous C17/F117 experience, especially in a depot repair capacity
Advanced degrees (MBA, Engineering, or similar) are preferred
Engine overhaul shop, engine test, and/or Air Force depot or flight line maintenance experience Knowledge of jet engine repair and overhaul maintenance practices
Experience with USAF G081 system, Maintenix and SAP is a plus
Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Access
Strong oral and written communication skills along with the ability to present technical concepts to a wide audience. Able to interpret engineering directives and decide how to communicate updates to the end user
Project management knowledge to own, plan, and drive tasks to completion
