Development Coordinator
Utah's Hogle Zoo is dedicated to conservation and creating champions for wildlife. The Development Coordinator is responsible for managing the donor database, executing donor experiences, and supporting fundraising initiatives in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities
Administration of Neon CRM the zoo’s donor database. Inputs all donations and generates timely acknowledgements and creates and manages letter series and custom letters. Trains fellow development staff on platform use and manages all donor accounts: updating contact information, notes, statuses, and merging duplicates
Generates fundraising reports and collaborates with the Finance Department to ensure all donations reported are accurate
Oversees on-site recognition efforts, such as pavers, boardwalk planks, benches and acts as the Liaison for the Maintenance and Grounds teams, submitting work orders and conducting follow-ups as needed
Management and implementation of auction packages and experiences for fundraisers
GoFundMe platform administrator which creates and manages the landing page for donations and ticketing for fundraising events, along with the backend reporting
Coordinator and liaison (SSA, Grounds, Security, Guest Services, Education, and Animal Care) for VIP animal experiences
Aids in the management of fundraising events
Aids in researching, writing, and reporting for grants
Aids in securing sponsorship opportunities and implementing their deliverables as needed
Aids in marketing content creation when it pertains to VIP events and opportunity guides
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with varied audiences: staff, Zoo guests and donors
Ability to present information concisely and effectively
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Ability to work well in a team environment
Self-motivated
Ability to work well under tight deadlines and under pressure
Excellent interpersonal skills and a high standard of ethics in a confidential environment
Possess a positive, winning attitude!
Flexible with hours, some evenings and weekends required
Bachelor's degree
Experience with database management, donor customer service, research and analysis, and event planning and support
A current driver's license is required
Provide a negative TB test prior to hire date and maintain TB testing through course of employment
