NDE Technician (ASNT ISQ-UTT or API QUTE-TM Certified)

intelliSPEC™ is seeking a highly skilled ASNT-ISQ or API QUTE-TM Certified NDE Technician to join their inspection team. The role involves performing Ultrasonic Thickness Testing (UTT) on equipment and piping systems, generating detailed inspection reports, and creating technical sketches while requiring extensive travel to various client sites.

Responsibilities

Perform Ultrasonic Thickness Testing (UTT) on equipment and piping systems to identify corrosion, erosion, and wall loss
Generate detailed UT Inspection reports, including data analysis and damage characterization (e.g., mid-wall flaws vs. wall loss)
Create accurate field sketches of operating equipment and piping systems
Read and interpret piping isometric drawings and P&IDs to identify TMLs (Thickness Measurement Locations) and navigate complex plant layouts
Calibrate and maintain UT Instruments (digital and A-scan) to ensure accuracy according to industry standards

Required

Current ASNT ISQ or API QUTE-TM in Ultrasonic Thickness Testing is mandatory
Minimum Level II UT certification or equivalent experience with a strong focus on ultrasonic thickness testing
Proven ability to work with equipment isometric drawings and piping isometric drawings
Strong technical writing skills for reporting and the ability to communicate findings to project manager
Must be able to travel 100% of the time, often on short notice, to various industrial and remote project sites
Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights (scaffolding/ ladders/ manlifts)
Ability to carry inspection equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in varying weather conditions
