Mid LevelScalence L.L.C. is seeking a Lead Shipping Associate to oversee day-to-day shipping and warehouse operations in a high-volume environment. The role involves processing shipping requests, operating material-handling equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities
Maintain accurate asset and inventory records in Dash - ServiceNow
Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in the warehouse
Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools and/or power tools
Drive physical inventories
Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials
Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped. Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or record keeping purposes
Confer or correspond with Team Leader to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or non-conformance to specifications
Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials
Deliver or route materials to departments using hand truck, conveyor, or sorting bins
Support Team Leader with Thought Leadership on logistics and warehouse operations and participates in creating plans for improvement and roadmaps
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Qualification
Required
Lead day-to-day shipping and warehouse operations in a high-volume environment
Process 100–120 shipping requests daily, based on project needs
Handle shipments ranging from single items to large, multi-pallet equipment
Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely
Assign work to coworkers and provide operational support as needed
Coordinate closely with team members to ensure smooth workflow and on-time deliveries
Maintain a strong focus on teamwork, customer service, and hospitality
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and workplace standards
Serve as a point of contact for shipping-related questions on the floor

Ability to be a self-starter and work well unsupervised

Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective distribution of goods
Ability to determine causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it independently
