Senior Systems Administrator
ContactPoint360 is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator with strong problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as a deep technical understanding of cloud computing services, particularly in an Azure ecosystem. The role involves implementing and maintaining Microsoft Azure solutions, automating tasks, and collaborating with other IT team members to ensure optimal system performance and security.

Responsibilities
Implement, monitor, and maintain Microsoft Azure solutions, including major services related to compute, storage, network, and security
Understanding of infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), running virtual machines (VMs) in the cloud both with Azure and AWS
Familiarity with both industry leading hypervisor platforms Microsoft Hyper V and VMWare vSphere
Create custom scripts to automate support processes such as ability to power off/ down the un-used VMs. Python in particular. Identify issues at the Azure level and resolve and manage Azure subscriptions and profiles
Deploying, configuring, and managing VMs into virtual networks for optimum cost, performance, and security. Backing up VMs for failover recovery
Expert understanding of Active Directory and all the responsibilities surrounding the management of users, groups, schema, log analytics and configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services
Understanding of LANs, WANs, Internet and intranet systems, and network segments
Work with desktop administrator to reallocate desktop computers and peripherals
Work with the security team on ensuring that we adhere to all security related rules and regulations
Troubleshoot problems reported by users related to helpdesk tickets submitted
Keep system working optimally and ensuring we are cost effective
Make recommendations for future upgrades to the cloud computing environment
Maintain inventory records of desktop and systems
Assists and guides other members of the department on technical processes related to system administration. Required to have considerable interaction with staff in all areas within IT ecosystem. Powerful desire to learn new technology and a commitment to customer service excellence

Qualification
Required
Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Microsoft Azure
3-5+ years system administration experience
Highly proficient in remote access and VDI tools
PowerShell, Python, or Bash a must
MCSE and other IT certifications considered necessary
Good interpersonal and writing skills
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment and effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Strong troubleshooting skills
Operating Systems: Window 10 and 11, Window Server 2016-22, VMWare & Hyper-V Clustering
Valid driver's license
Preferred

Some network experience nice to have on Fortinet, Cisco, Aruba
