Responsibilities

Lead a high‑performing team of CP technicians, technologists, and specialists, providing coaching, development, and performance guidance
Set program strategy and oversee execution of CP inspection, monitoring, replacement, and remediation activities
Ensure alignment with corporate integrity priorities and TC Energy core values
Provide expert guidance on impressed current systems, galvanic systems, AC mitigation, rectifier performance, grounding, and diagnostic testing
Review and interpret CP data (PCS, SAP/CMMS, RMU/remote monitoring, field surveys) to identify deficiencies and ensure regulatory compliance
Approve CP repair scopes, design updates, long‑term maintenance plans, and system optimization strategies
Ensure compliance with PHMSA, NEC, NACE/AMPP, and applicable TC Energy standards and procedures
Support audits, regulatory filings, and internal/external assessments
Maintain consistent, high‑quality documentation across CP survey inspections, rectifier inspections, diagnostic testing, and corrective actions
Partner with Pipeline Integrity, Operations, Engineering, Construction, Regulatory, Land, Environment, and Project Execution teams
Provide CP subject‑matter support for new projects, integrity digs, permitting, and engineering design packages
Manage contractor performance and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and program standards
Manage O&M and capital budgets for CP equipment, testing, repairs, and system upgrades
Support the planning and execution of CP projects, including scheduling, forecasting, and resourcing
Maintain visibility into cost, risk, and schedule performance

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, or related field) or AMPP/NACE CP Specialist certification with equivalent experience
7–10+ years of progressive experience in cathodic protection, corrosion prevention, or pipeline integrity
Strong working knowledge of CP system design, troubleshooting, surveys, rectifiers, grounding, and AC mitigation
Understanding of PHMSA 49 CFR 192/195 requirements and industry standards
Experience leading teams, contractors, or technical programs
Proven ability to analyze CP datasets and make evidence‑based decisions

Preferred

Professional Engineer (PE) designation or AMPP CP4
Experience in midstream pipeline operations or integrity management
Proficiency with PCS/CP databases, SAP/CMMS, GIS, and field data tools
Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills
