Responsibilities
Install and configure Veeam Backup & Replication on servers provided by the client
Set up and manage Veeam licenses, repositories, proxies, and storage within the backup environment
Migrate or import existing backups from previous Veeam setups where necessary
Configure Azure Blob storage as a target for Veeam Backup Copies to enhance data redundancy
Deploy Veeam agents on physical servers and configure backup jobs for both virtual machines and physical servers
Implement Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365, including deployment, tenant connection, and backup scheduling
Develop and document a Disaster Recovery architecture for Azure-based recovery scenarios, such as Instant VM Recovery and bare-metal restores
Configure immutable backups and strengthen security measures, including off-domain backup server setups
Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to train the internal IT team on the implemented solution
Provide detailed documentation of the final Veeam architecture, configuration settings, and backup schedules
Qualification
Required
Extensive hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication in enterprise or mid-sized environments
Proficiency in integrating Veeam with Microsoft Azure storage solutions
Strong background in deploying and managing Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365
In-depth knowledge of backup strategies, immutability, and disaster recovery planning
Familiarity with networking, storage systems, and identity dependencies crucial for disaster recovery workflows
Exceptional skills in creating thorough documentation and delivering effective knowledge transfer
Experience working with cloud storage solutions, including Azure Blob Storage
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in cloud security and backup solutions
