Environmental Engineer in Training
AE2S (Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services, LLC) is a specialized civil/environmental consulting engineering firm recognized for its exceptional culture and client service. The Environmental Engineer in Training (EIT) will support various water resources projects, developing technical skills and contributing to sustainable engineering practices under the supervision of experienced engineers.

Responsibilities
Assist project managers and engineers in the design and construction of drinking water and wastewater infrastructure, including water supply, treatment facilities, water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and pump stations
Assist project managers with the development and preparation of plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates
Perform construction observation and administration on water related projects
Assist in the preparation of technical reports, memorandums, and presentations
Occasionally assist professional surveyors with field work on crews performing data gathering for designs and/or construction staking
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Successfully completed the Fundamentals in Engineering, or ability to complete within 6 months
Strong written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and curiosity
Ability to travel as required
All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations
Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain
Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight
May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds
Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear
May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload
May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town
Preferred
Working knowledge and experience using ESRI ArcGIS software, AutoCAD, and computer aided design software
Intern or employment experience related to construction observation and construction management
