The producer will collaborate with news managers and the morning team to create high-quality reports for broadcast and digital platforms, manage on-air products, and respond to breaking news.

Responsibilities
Production of local newscasts
Managing on-air products
Contributing story/segment ideas
Helping live crew execute reports
Generating content for all station platforms
Responding quickly and aggressively to breaking news
Writing news/web copy
Editing video for news and social media
Shooting in the field
Coordinating morning news segments – both live and recorded in the studio or on location
Qualification
Required
A degree in Journalism or related field
Previous work or internship in journalism is a plus
Ability to identify great video and compelling sound bites
Solid news judgment
Excellent communication skills
Ability to edit video
Ability to write clearly and concisely
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Good driving record
Good writing skills
Flexibility with respect to scheduling and/or assigned work shifts
