Responsibilities
Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI/ML systems
Apply LLMs, classical ML, and data-driven approaches to security, DevOps, and container workflows
Build and maintain pipelines for training, fine-tuning, evaluation, and inference
Collaborate with Product to turn ambiguous problems into shipped features
Integrate AI capabilities into backend services and APIs
Own models end-to-end: data quality, performance, reliability, and iteration
Help shape RapidFort’s AI strategy and roadmap as the company scales
Qualification
Required
U.S. Citizen (required due to government and DoD customer requirements)
Strong entrepreneurial / builder mindset
3+ years of hands-on experience in AI / ML engineering
Experience shipping ML or AI systems into production
Strong Python skills and experience with modern ML frameworks
Practical experience with: Large Language Models (prompting, RAG, fine-tuning, evaluation)
Model deployment and inference at scale
Comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment
Able to work independently and make sound decisions with incomplete information
Preferred
Experience in cybersecurity, DevOps, cloud, or container ecosystems
Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure ML stacks
Experience with MLOps, data pipelines, or feature stores
Startup or early-stage company experience
Strong product intuition and customer empathy
