Clinical Research Coordinator

Responsibilities
Execute, manage, and coordinate research protocols as directed by the Principal Investigators and Violence Prevention Professionals (VPPs) of the Wraparound Project
Coordinate the data collection and help implement and maintain violence reduction initiatives
Qualification
Required
HS graduation and sufficient experience and demonstrated skills to successfully perform the assigned duties and responsibilities; and/or equivalent experience/training
Demonstrated experience working independently with minimal supervision, using initiative and resourcefulness in performing job duties in areas of responsibility and in the execution of additional duties as assigned
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns
Experience working with vulnerable populations, especially victims of violence
Understanding of trauma informed care
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to manage/prioritize multiple tasks with competing deadlines and work well under pressure
Ability to maintain confidentiality, be courteous, work well and interact with a diverse population
Demonstrated ability to maintain detail and ensure accuracy
Demonstrated excellent attendance and reliability
Preferred
BA/BS degree in a related field
Certification by the Society of Clinical Research Associates or the Association of Clinical Research Professionals
Two years or more of related work experience
Fluency in the usage of Committee of Human Research (CHR) online iMEDris system for submission, renewal, and modification of protocols through this system
Understanding of community violence and vulnerable populations
Training in trauma informed care
Experience with electronic medical records
Knowledge of UCSF and departmental policies for dealing with reimbursement, guidelines for research, confidentiality and HIPPA regulations, following the UCSF mission statement and purpose for research, and a clear understanding of policies and procedures on patient safety and confidentiality (electronic and hard copy medical records, patient charts, communication, etc.); knowledge of medical terminology, research policies and guidelines, guidelines for packing/shipping infectious substances, database building/analysis, and data management within some of the following: Access, Stata, SASS/ SPSS, and Teleform programming platforms
Experience applying the following regulations and guidelines: Good Clinical Practice Guidelines, Health Information and Accountability Act (HIPAA), The Protection of Human Research Subjects, CHR regulations for recruitment and consent of research subjects, Effective Cash Handling Procedures, Environmental Health and Safety Training, Fire Safety Training
