Civil Engineer

Argus Consulting is seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer (Civil Engineer I) to join their team at their Overland Park, Kansas headquarters. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer who is eager to build a strong technical foundation, learn from experienced engineers, and contribute to real-world infrastructure and fuel system projects.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing layouts, designs, drawings, and specifications for fuel systems and site infrastructure
Perform civil design tasks such as site grading, utility layouts, and fuel system placement using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Review as-built and existing drawings to incorporate accurate site information into designs
Support plan production, including general, demolition, and civil sheets for construction documents
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure cohesive and compliant designs
Participate in client meetings, site visits, and inspections to gather project-specific information
Utilize tools such as Bluebeam Revu and Autodesk products for collaborative design and document review
Learn and apply Argus design standards, quality expectations, and project delivery processes

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Eligible for Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or actively working toward licensure
0–2 years of relevant engineering experience, including internships or cooperative education
Basic proficiency with engineering software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bluebeam Revu
Understanding of fundamental civil engineering principles
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively, accept feedback, and grow under the guidance of senior engineers
