Product Operations Manager
Pryon is a team of AI, technology, and language experts working on a cutting-edge knowledge management platform. The Product Operations Manager will drive program delivery, manage technical program aspects, and ensure alignment across engineering, product, and customer teams to meet project goals.

Responsibilities
Lead complex, multi-team programs spanning product, engineering, security, operations and customer success – tracking timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks and deliverables
Define and drive program roadmaps – translate high-level strategy into actionable plans, articulate program status to senior leadership and ensure transparency
Own all aspects of technical program management to deliver Pryon Platform capabilities on strategic agreements, ensuring delivery is on schedule, within budget, and meets the customer's requirements
Serve as the primary technical program point of contact for executives from product, providing briefings on program status, technical roadmaps, and strategic initiatives
Manage risks, issues, and actions, and track them regularly to meet expected outcomes and timelines
Build and maintain a prioritized, stack-ranked Feature/Epic ('Big Rocks') backlog aligned to Strategic Pillars and the V2MOM framework
Clearly delineate Product-driven vs Engineering-driven deliverables
Establish and manage a real-time, dynamic roadmap to support continuous delivery
Enable emergent release notes and lightweight tech specs directly from System of Record
Drive continuous delivery aligned to Product Strategic Pillars
Establish delivery spaces and operating models for strategic initiatives and MVPs
Partner with Principal Engineers and architects to define foundational Epics and Features
Act as Scrum Master/Delivery Lead for key initiatives to ensure predictable execution
Coordinate cross-functional alignment, ensuring all technology teams are synchronized, objectives are clear, and blockers are surfaced and resolved
Design logical, lightweight Feature/Epic workflows
Implement unified squad-level development workflows to enable frequent, reliable deployment
Establish a clear hierarchy aligned to strategic intent (V2MOM)
Manage technical dependencies and integration risks
Proactively identify architectural, infrastructure, security and compliance issues (including regulatory or enterprise-grade security controls)
Introduce pragmatic prioritization and flow-based delivery concepts to Product and Engineering leadership
Coach leaders and individual contributors on Scrum, Kanban, and continuous delivery fundamentals
Provide squad-level and 1:1 coaching on feature development and refinement
Facilitate change management and stakeholder communication
Continue coaching continuous delivery practices at the squad, leadership, and enterprise level
Facilitate enterprise and cross-squad prioritization, including trade-off negotiation and stakeholder communication
Champion and coordinate SaaS and On-Prem release readiness
Establish durable customer feedback loops connected directly to squads
Partner with Engineering to monitor and improve system and component health
Ensure delivery excellence and implement best practices (agile/lean methods, risk mitigation, escalation paths, and program retrospectives) to drive continuous improvement of our delivery model
Support go-to-market or customer deployment efforts – partner with product, sales, and services teams to coordinate new capability launches, deployment ramp-up, and customer enablement
Implement lightweight, actionable metrics across squads, including: Features/Epics delivered vs in progress, Defects by status, Enterprise and squad-level delivery velocity, Capacity & utilization, Delivery predictability and Say/Do ratio, WIP management, Planned vs unplanned work (scope management), Risk and dependency management, ROI (anticipated vs delivered)
Create shared visibility into delivery health without adding process overhead
Use metrics to surface and act on improvement opportunities
Track key metrics and drive continuous improvement, monitoring performance, scalability, quality and reliability of our platform components
Qualification
Required
5+ years of program/technical program management experience in a technology company, ideally with exposure to enterprise software, AI/ML infrastructure, or large-scale distributed systems
Strong technical literacy with the ability to engage with engineering teams on architecture, infrastructure, data pipelines, APIs, and ingestion/retrieval systems
Proven track record driving cross-functional programs with multiple teams, managing dependencies and delivering to schedule in a fast-paced environment
Ability to translate technical complexity into business context for senior leadership, customers and partners
Familiarity with agile/lean delivery frameworks, program tracking tools, risk management, and change management
Experience using program management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and other tools
A bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
Comfort working in a startup or high-growth environment — self-starter, adaptable, able to prioritize amidst ambiguity
Experience with AI/ML platforms, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, knowledge management, or multimodal data ingestion (text, audio, images, video)
Experience working in highly regulated or federal environments (working with security, compliance, air-gap/deployment on-prem or in cloud for sensitive workloads)
Familiarity with large-scale ingestion, retrieval, distributed system performance (e.g., latency, throughput, concurrency) and infrastructure that supports it
Hands-on experience with program tools for delivery of infrastructure or platform components (e.g., cloud services, DevOps/DevSecOps, monitoring/observability)
Previous experience engaging with go-to-market launches, customer deployment, or professional services engagements in a SaaS or enterprise-software context
Familiarity with V2MOM framework or similar strategic planning methodologies
Background in implementing and coaching Scrum, Kanban, and continuous delivery practices
