Business Development Representative - Employee Benefits
BSI Corporate Benefits is one of the fastest-growing employee benefits firms in the country, seeking a driven Business Development Representative to fuel their sales pipeline. The role focuses on prospecting, relationship-building, and creating new opportunities, working closely with Sales and Marketing teams to identify and qualify prospective clients.

Responsibilities
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities in existing and expanding markets
Customize sales outreach messaging to drive engagement across phone, email, and social platforms
Qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns and convert them into sales-ready opportunities
Conduct outbound prospecting through cold calls, emails, and social selling
Maintain and grow a robust prospect database within Salesforce
Schedule introductory meetings and calls between prospective clients and sales executives
Present BSI's services and value proposition in professional sales communications
Partner with the marketing team to support outreach strategies and campaign development
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in Salesforce to support reporting and pipeline visibility
Report weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales activity and results to the Chief Growth Officer
Qualification
Required
1–2 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role with a track record of meeting or exceeding goals
A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
Hands-on experience with outbound sales techniques, including cold calling and email outreach
Strong persuasion and communication skills, with confidence engaging prospective clients
Familiarity with Salesforce; experience with HubSpot or other CRM/marketing automation tools is a plus
Comfort analyzing activity metrics and performance data using tools like Google Sheets, Excel, PowerBI, or Salesforce dashboards
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing prospect data
The ability to deliver engaging, professional communications that support Round 1 meeting bookings
A proactive, resilient mindset with a desire to grow within a fast-paced sales environment
