Responsibilities
Assisting in working on things such as field safety education/enhancement, field inspections of equipment, industrial hygiene, and incident investigations
Analyzing process safety data through the Incident Management System (IMS) to determine high risk factors and provide tactical leading indicators
Conducting risk assessments and identify appropriate levels of risk controls in support of operational activities. This includes field spot checks and effective collaboration with operational teams
Aid in rollout and success of new systems (such as real time digital monitoring, in-vehicle monitoring, etc.)
Updating management system practices based on field level input and changes in regulatory requirements
Assessed SIF prevention program uptake and gathered suggestions for improvement
Qualification
Required
Must be enrolled as a full-time student through December 2026
Reside or willing to reside in Midland, TX
Must be available May 18 – August 7, 2026
Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental health, fire protection, or a closely related science or engineering program
