Mid-Level IT Project Manager - IRES000020
GeoControl Systems is a HUBZone company seeking a Mid-Level IT Project Manager to support the Missile Defense Agency on the IRES contract. The role involves planning, executing, and closing IT projects while managing project teams and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Responsibilities
Create and maintain project documentation and plans, to include project timelines, resource allocations, and budgets
Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential project challenges
Establish project governance and communication protocols
Lead and manage geographically dispersed project teams, providing guidance, motivation, and performance feedback
Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, ensuring clear communication and action items
Monitor project progress and performance against plan, identifying and addressing deviations
Track project budget and expenditures, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines
Manage project risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans
Utilize project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) to effectively manage projects
Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders on a regular basis
Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project goals
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization
Act as a liaison between the IT department and other business units
Ensure project deliverables are completed and meet quality standards
Conduct project closure activities, including documentation, knowledge transfer, and stakeholder sign-off
Evaluate project performance and identify lessons learned for future projects
Prepare and present project reports to management
Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in project management
Contribute to the development and improvement of project management methodologies and processes
Qualification
Required
Must have 6, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience
May be reduced with completion of advanced education
Must have 5, or more, years of direct experience in IT project management, managing high-dollar projects
Must have a general understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, and emerging technologies
Must have experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks
Must have a minimum CAPM (Certified Associate of Project Management) certification
Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
