MEP Project Manager
Titus Talent Strategies is seeking an MEP Project Manager to join the E.W. Howell Construction Group's Commercial Construction team. The role involves managing and overseeing MEP scopes of work to ensure timely and budget-compliant project execution.

Responsibilities
Manage MEP-related project documents in Procore: update contract set documents, implement distribution of MEP drawing/specification updates to project stakeholders, subcontractors, and vendors
Review, track, and distribute RFIs related to MEP systems; compose RFIs with oversight from the Project Manager and/or MEP Superintendent
Receive, review, track, and process MEP submittals (e.g., equipment data sheets, shop drawings for HVAC units, electrical panels, plumbing fixtures); understand how to review submittals against project specifications, MEP plans, and applicable codes/standards
Proficient in reading and interpreting MEP construction documents, including understanding CSI Division 20-28 codes (MasterFormat for MEP), basic structure of MEP specifications, drawing coordination details, riser diagrams, equipment schedules, and standard notation
Ability to take/compose meeting minutes for MEP coordination meetings; structure and prepare agendas for MEP-specific project meetings (e.g., MEP coordination meetings, commissioning planning)
Assist in the development and distribution of bid documents and trade RFPs for MEP subcontractors; support basic understanding of MEP trade/subcontractor bid leveling, scoping sheets, and scope reviews
Track and inspect MEP material/equipment deliveries against approved submittals, verifying quality, quantity, and compliance; document receipt and condition
Strong understanding of building MEP systems (HVAC, electrical power/lighting, plumbing, fire alarm/protection, low-voltage systems) at an Assistant Project Manager level; coordinate MEP installations to avoid conflicts with architectural/structural elements
Ability to compose weekly MEP construction status reports, including progress photos, descriptions of completed work, issues, and upcoming activities
Basic understanding of construction schedule development with emphasis on MEP sequencing; use MS Project to produce 2-4 week lookaheads for MEP activities to assist the Project Manager and Superintendent
Understanding of building permit process for respective territory, with focus on MEP-related permits (e.g., electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, HVAC); maintain and track permits, lead times for procuring MEP permits/approvals, and update a permit and Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) tracking sheet
Understanding of purchasing process and ability to support buyout of MEP trades/subcontractors commensurate with Assistant Project Manager level under supervision of the Project Manager; assist in writing basic scopes of work for MEP packages
Process MEP project closeout documents: quantify requirements (e.g., O&M manuals, as-built drawings, testing/commissioning reports), procure from MEP subcontractors/vendors, track, and process with the owner/architect/engineer through completion
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, MEP subcontractors, vendors, and trades of various backgrounds and technical levels
Qualification
Required
BS/BA preferred (4-year degree) in construction management, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field
Minimum 2 years of experience in construction project support, with demonstrated exposure to MEP systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire protection, or building controls)
Experience in commercial construction is highly desirable
Proficiency in project management software including Excel, MS Project, Procore (or similar platforms) commensurate with MEP Assistant Project Manager responsibilities
