Senior Technician: Quality Control and Report Specialist

Responsibilities

Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in assessing problems and making recommendations
Provides input to Project Manager on time and staff resources. Trains and guides less experienced staff on specific tasks. Provides input to performance reviews, as requested
Performs non-routine analysis to verify the accuracy, applicability and reasonableness of project work. May assist in identifying ways to control and/or reduce fixed costs without negatively impacting client expectations. May assist in the technical planning and has some discretion when making judgments and completing tasks. Is encouraged to make recommendations such as estimating time requirements for the completion of tasks and/or providing solutions to technical problems
Works under general supervision and instruction of more experienced staff. Reports observations/problems clearly and concisely, recognizing and highlighting specific deviations
Review analytical chemistry records for technical content, data accuracy, as well as, appropriate regulatory, protocol, and SOP compliance
Review data summary tables against raw data for accuracy
Work directly with technical staff and management to resolve issues and help coordinate the correction of errors
Compile study, validation, and qualification records and paperwork, as well as facility and equipment records
Assist study directors in responding to Quality Assurance Unit audit findings
Review final report for protocol, SOP, and interna/external customer compliance while ensuring that the report accurately reflects the raw data
Maintain accurate, complete and current files; sort, file, locate, reorganize and retrieve materials in files
Perform desktop publishing for moderately complex documents (newsletters, large reports, proposals, and forms)
Create and edit documents using desktop publishing software; fully utilize the technical capabilities of computer equipment to produce moderately complex documents; follow templates and provide recommendations for overall product layout and design
Perform final quality check on product
Interact with others including internal and external customers to obtain detailed information; research materials for requested information
Correct punctuation or grammar in material and correspondence; read and interpret proofing marks and editing codes

Required

Associate degree in related field; 3 years of applicable experience; or an equivalent combination of education and or experience in a related field
Demonstrates the ability to perform assignments that may not be standardized in nature
Exhibits technical knowledge to perform moderately complex assignments
Demonstrates knowledge and understanding behind application by beginning to troubleshoot and interpret results
Conducts specified non-routine analysis of data and prepares data for written reports
Uses established outlines for documenting results for inclusion in technical reports
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficiency with computers, the Microsoft Office suite, and Adobe Pro
Detail-oriented, team player, yet able to work independently, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining high-quality work

Preferred

Experience with Analytical chemistry chromatography and data systems: Analyst, Watson, Chromeleon, and/or MassHunter
Knowledge of FDA GLP, EPA, and/or ISO compliance standards
Knowledge of Section 508 compliance standards
Experience managing Microsoft SharePoint sites
Experience with cloud platforms
