Responsibilities

Help stand up a new office , including workflows, staffing, and service standards
Partner closely with Underwriting, Claims, IT, Compliance, and Sales
Design and improve operational processes as the business scales
Support new product launches, state expansions, and system implementations
Ensure compliance with CA and/or WA DOI requirements
Build and lead day-to-day Commercial Lines operations (policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, billing support)
Establish KPIs, SLAs, and quality controls for a growing operations team
Hire, train, and manage staff in a hybrid environment

Required

6–10+ years of experience in insurance operations
Carrier-side experience required (startup or Insurtech experience a plus)
Strong understanding of the commercial policy lifecycle
Experience building or scaling operations, teams, or workflows
Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced change
Hands-on leader who can both execute and design processes

Preferred

Experience launching a new office, new product, or new state
Knowledge of CA /WA insurance regulations
Experience with modern policy administration systems
CPCU, ARM, AINS, or similar designation
Background in insurtech or high-growth environments
