Senior Project Engineer

Responsibilities

Effectively interface with project stakeholders internal and external to the Program
Support project work planning activities, such as definition of trainer scope and associated functional requirements, cost estimating, budget and schedule development, and risk identification
Responsible for timely execution of assigned budget and schedule
Support solicitation, placement, and subsequent follow and oversight of sub-tier supplier contracts
Monitor project progress and performance against plans and initiate corrective actions as necessary
Identify and take action to resolve technical problems and support needs to minimize project delays
Ensure project results meet requirements associated with scope, schedule, cost, and technical quality

Required

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering, science or construction field and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering, science or construction field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; or Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering, science or construction field and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience; or Currently a Senior Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer at the Company
All candidates must be U.S. citizens
Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter
All candidates must be able to pass a drug test in compliance with FMP company policy and 10 CFR 707

Preferred

Previous experience with new project startup, cost estimating, technical writing, and sub-tier supplier oversight
An understanding of manufacturing processes, quality assurance, developing and tracking performance metrics, and an ability to analyze data trends to extrapolate future performance
Ability to work independently and complete assignments for all aspects of work with minimal direction from management
Previous program or project management type-related experience
Previous experience with Primavera P6
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team building skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
